…Elite, Arise, etc....Europe move over, Africa is next best thing in
fashion.
Impressed!
…with the success of the Nigerian International Fashion hosted in Port
Harcourt by Agbani Darego, Kate Henshaw and friends on September 14th, 2014.
Perhaps the idea of a fashion week will become a tradition in major commercial
centers and cities in Nigeria and West Africa. It looks considerably close to
project Arise and Elite, and some of the new venture fashion shows that has
made all the difference. I was impressed by the new contacts made between
sponsors and sponsorship, for instance, the new reality of NFW, AIT, Ray Power,
Prime Time AFRICA, Sound City, OT TV, Spice TV, WAP, Global excellence, CRN,
and other magazines such as CONNECT Nigeria. The cache is to expose Nigerians
and perhaps West Africans to the latest trends in the ‘comfortable’ line of
fashion which are not always comfortable. For Agbani Darego, Nigeria fashion
'minimalist' and MFR model, she wears what she comfortable with.
The Nigerian industries including latest fashions and models and tradition dresses such as Asoke, Agbada, Isiagu and women’s attire, the chauffer, the brocade, the head tie, etc. But there are others forms of cloths and accessories. It is not the first time Nigerian Fashion Week and Nigerian Tailors Association are getting away from their Studios and shades to model their products in the market place. Secondly are they making money and what are their taste like? In the 50’s and 60’s, fashion expo was the stock in trade, although Readers Digest was the chief instrument for pioneering newest materials in any industries, it was these expos and promoter association that made the difference in all possible cloth lines and industries.
But this new efforts in promoting local brand names is by design the work
of Agbani and Kate Henshaw, particularly Agbani who is directly leading the
revolution in women’s dress suit, full set and full collection of women’s wear.
We have not seen his peculiar kinds of brands before in Nigeria, and from where
she stands, there is something about quality and accessibility in her line of
clothing. We may easily notice Nigerians, to be victims of loosely composed
dressings, largely due to the….
Unlike the previous periods in African businesses where the Main Market,
Ariaria Market, and Onitsha market is important, these days there are other
means of executing cloths for Nigerians working at home or abroad. It is the
sales that is important and in ordinary cloth line such as Agbani Darego, the
special brand name comes with a price. She is not the only one who is making
the transition from local versions of our traditional wear to foreign materials
and ordering her new lines, there are others in the business.
We group Nkwo Onwuka as the top designer among the women whose products are
respected everywhere in Africa and the world, and in some sense, we include
others, Folabi Cookey, Deola Sagoe, among the women. Their line of dressing
it’s not only original to the people and culture so represented - it is closer
to a Chanel Coco, Diana Von Furstenberg and whose fashion follow art and it’s
theatrical outline which is hard to understand.
Whereas, Versace and Armani lines of fashion are set pieces, they
occasionally play along traditional routes which involves others in the fashion
industry, but models and artist Asos Midi, Alek Wek, and grand chic Iman are
pushing the boundary for corporate fashion but they differ slightly from Agbani
Darego who emphasize full sets of women’s wear, including jeans with some
fashion statement. Whereas Iman leads different models differently and for
different eras, it is the salesforce for a new generation that is important.
African emphasis on traditional attires has always been around and for long
periods of time, especially in Nigeria where old dresses for religious practice
and public opera were gradually transformed into public dresses slightly
different from about South Africa and the role it’s playing in Africa culture,
we can point out that overtime Agbani’s knowledge of the industries will
exfoliates and we may be looking at things that matter in her judgment and
wardrobe expression.
Having a large storage spare good and capacity it’s
important, that when demands is above storage capacity, the supply line suffers
and the product may disappoint. It is common sense to suggest that this sales problem usually associated
with broad based businesses without traditional pathways, for instance Agbani
Darego Ltd., unlike world famous Nkwo Onwuka who is chartered personal
tailor, spare capacity is important in maintaining clothing lines. The special
status of some of the new the products make it to the market as the only way we
can differentiate between trends and currency, for through price and public
acceptance, some products prevail.
Her line of product; Nisa Jeans, A.D Denim Hobo, Oversized sunglasses
(black), Sleeveless top and leads the way through her adbyagbanidarego.com,
Fola Osibo Street, Lekki Phase I, Lagos, Nigeria., (234 817 080 2404), perhaps
there are others.
Although I believe that Agbani belongs to treasury and real estate, she has
interest in cloth which needs her Community Portal. Long term, she would not be
wrong in showing some stars with her interest in traditional materials. A
Portal identifies the object versus the object (s), and interesting membership
could decide on how to increase their visions of better life with or without
charity foundations. This is where a new course follows the tram way of new
clothing model, revised attitude and statement if need be and above all, what
clothing line follows is ahead of the optimism. In her view, and in spite of
her resources, conducting a cloth drive it’s what perhaps a Portal should be
looking to emphasis, along the education of women indicated by a small combine
of like-minded master-mind.
Having a leader in fashion it’s perhaps interesting, but what may prove
itself in the end, it’s what the organization effortlessly does and when, and
how what sales; what people want. What do people want, it is not easy to
determine except in connection with your audiences which a minimalist but
effective involvement in the community can explain. It is here that Agbani’s
audience-reach to University Students must make sense, or recent graduate
should reflect her life style and a future. Nobody can speak to her about
appeal and appearance, her main office, rainforest alliance, traditional family
uniform (minimalist use of color full set; cosmetics, main market
We are with her and her group all the way, for a point to be made about
fashion it’s should include the blessings for affordability. But this is a
Nigerian problem in general, whereas the market for fashion is there, there are
people who are all interested in fashion and how you look than anything. What
has taken central stage in the Nigerian Fashion Industries in the last 10 years
its rate at which sales made in Country, it may also suggest that the outfits
have also changed. The experiments with fashion have increased and there are
now cases of casual attire or what Agbani called ‘minimalist’ fashion, the one
we can afford.
Whatever! We can suggest that based on some sales advantage
presented by Zach Coelius in recent introduction of key areas of marketing and
business, and from Agbani’s interviews and a recent chart with Anthony Ogbo,
market industries have changed over the past few years. We require adequate
coverage in photo-line and new leads in fashion but also may use on line ‘auto
play video’ to showcase this images, directly.
To enhance the guarantee of future audience and Marketing clouds; we can
encourage the use of adobe Photoshop, Oracle, IBM clouds for what the audience
wants, (3) attribution (4) Brand names such as Agbani Darego and Google
Copyrights for her products.
Using Steve Cartwright arrangement on new trends in sales management on
Nigerian market, we may perhaps resort to the use of Online forms and Master
mind group in helping and keeping Community Portal, especially when you are
translating in more than one language, associate yourself with Chambers
of commerce and Industries Association for instance Run Ways and Fashion
week organizers, Tailors Association, Model groups and so on, (5) you can focus
on Business events (6) meeting announcement is a form a Salesforce that speaks
to expectations (8) Network with commentators social media connection…as means
of generating audience. I am particularly interest in Adobe pictures, given the
picture of the visible cloths and what it means to the people.
Nigerian Fashion industries stayed close to these developments especially
the large scale product of women’s skates and wedding dresses, or Khaki pants
for everyday use, till the fallout of the currency shifted the country from
luxury item to ordinary cloths mainly from Thailand. We may say that in spite
of the expensive environment of the Nigerian currency and poor business
environment which a new flowering from South Africa is making possible, Nigeria
and their appetite for goods are not diminished. Nollywood can lead the way…..
